Additional Info	The Santa Cruz Sea Glass & Ocean Art festival premiered in 2009 and has grown to over 60 talented artists with an average attendance of 4000 over the 2 day weekend. The festival embraces the idea of "Sanctuary Art"; this is art that is inspired by the Monterey Bay and all ocean life. Ocean landscape painters, photographers and artists of all kinds that create ocean themed art are encouraged to apply. This event also supports the continued education about healthy oceans and directly goes to whale-entanglement efforts. 10% of admission fees is donated to the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation each year.
